Diwali is called as Deepavali. This is the "festival of lights". This festival is celebrated in India and the rest of the world. Diwali is an ancient Hindu festival celebrated in autumn every year. The festival spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair. The festival preparations and rituals typically extend over a five day period, but the main festival night of Diwali coincides with the darkest, new moon night of the Hindu Lunisolar month Kartik. In the Gregorian calendar, Diwali night falls between mid-October and mid-November.

This Diwali Festival people buy properties like home or flat. They are thinking to do the decoration for their home or property, some are thinking to decorate their offices and commercial properties. Today I am going to tell you about the Ideas how to decorate your home and offices and commercial property.

This Idea may help you for your Diwali Decoration. We are using some household things and junks those are not in use, which are cost-friendly things to help you for decoration.

Simple ideas for Home Diwali Decoration 2014:-

  • Lamps and Diyas: – The traditional diyas need not be purchased always because you can make them at home with just the flour. After freshening in the sun when the flour gains the concrete shape, you can paint them with water or poster colours. The diyas can be decorated with bright, colorful beads and mirrors to make it more attractive. Moreover, you need not buy them every year. Simply repaint them, using new patterns and refill the wax.
  • Household Things: - Instead of buying artificial colors and artwork for Rangoli from the market, you may use home products to make them look unique and alluring. Go for vermillion, flour, turmeric, flowers, beads, garlands etc. to make your Rangoli. You can also create interesting permanent Rangolis by painting on cardboard and reusing them every year.
  • Redecorate your homes: - Paint one wall - Instead of getting your whole house re-painted just have one of the prominent walls painted with a bright textured paint to enhance its vivacity. Also, a creative wall art feature could add an element to your space.
  • Wallpapers: - Wallpapers are also an amazingly cost effective, quick and less messy way of revamping your space. There are so many patterns, textures, colors available and they never fail to impress your guests.
  • Lighting: - Change the pattern of lighting that would pep up the whole room. In fact, use of colorful LED lights can give an all new glamorous look to your living space. Use bright lamp shades to create drama in your living rooms.
  • New Look: - Change the furniture settings of your house, especially the living room, to introduce a new look altogether. Add a few new pieces or maybe use an old trunk by just getting it re-polished as your center table. Not only does this give a new look, but also makes for a great conversation starter between you and your friends.
  • New Rug: - Add a new carpet or a rug. It adds color and makes your living space look different altogether.
  • Curtains: - Add some shimmer to your curtains by juxtaposing them with some silk translucent drape from your wardrobe. This would reflect a vibrant look for your curtains.
  • Bright cushion covers: - Go for bright colored cushion covers to change the look of your sofas. Torans - Traditional “torans” at your home entrance will enhance the beauty of your home. They look beautiful and help create a traditional, beautiful look.
